In honor of March Madness, RESCAPEMENT is conducting the First Annual Seiko 5 Badge of Excellence Bracket. The winning watch will win the coveted Seiko 5 Badge of Excellence.

This week we conducted the first round of voting through our Instagram (make sure to follow us if you don’t already!). We narrowed the field from 16 to 8, and we’ll narrow it down to a Final Four this week, so stay tuned.

There are some great matchups in the Elite 8 round: the Datograph takes on the Patek Phillipe Ref. 5270 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, the Black Bay 58 takes on its slightly larger brother, the Rolex Submariner, the Grand Seiko Snowflake (in the upset of the century, defeating that Seiko 5!) will take on the Nomos Tangente, and the Royal Oak will take on the Speedmaster.
