Popular YouTube channel The Unknown Vlogs posted one of its biggest videos yet: a new edition of “How Much Is Your Outfit,” featuring Drake. The video catches Drake and his OVO crew before he’s about to go on stage at O2 in London.
Drake clearly knew the video was coming and was fitted up for the camera. He starts with a custom-made Brioni jacket, and goes all Tom Ford under that, looking extremely clean and professional.
From there though, things get real serious. He lifts up his sleeve to show off his Richard Mille RM 69 “Erotic”.
The RM 69 was limited to 30 pieces, and Drake cites the price at $750,000. The case is made of grade 5 titanium, and measures 42mm x 50mm and sits 16mm thick. It’s a manual wind tourbillon with retractable hours and minutes, a power reserve indicator (at 4 o’clock, so you can see how much of the 69-hour power reserve is left) and a brand-new “Oracle complication.”
That Oracle complication is what makes the watch. It’s a set of three rollers at the 12 o’clock position that roll (similar to Tibetan prayer wheels, Mille writes on his website), that allows for the displaying of random, erotic statements. The complex mechanism, which occupies half of the movement’s space, is activated at the owner’s request by a push-button at 10 o’clock, thus triggering the rotation of the engraved grade 5 titanium rollers. To facilitate reading the statements, a push-button located at 8 o’clock allows the hours and minutes hands to momentarily retract.
We’ve seen Drake showing off the RM 69 on his Instagram before (in addition to other Richard Milles), so we know he’s a fan. But it was fun to see the watch choice when he knew a camera crew was coming to catalog (and value) his fit. At the end he brags that he may be the first “$1 million outfit” Unkown Vlogs has seen — with the RM 69 making up 75% of that price tag.
By the way, on his other wrist, Drake has two bracelets: one is a beaded bracelet that a fan made him, one has the name of his son. He calls both priceless.
